Hero Art Shoe

Rain Rain go away!
Ok so I know we need it, those of us who live down south already have a hose pipe ban. But I do wish someone could turn the tap off upstairs, just for a little while.
Anyway not wanting to go out and get wet I have been in making cards.  I enjoyed making this  embossing the squares with different folders and a bit of matting and layering. I stamped the shoe on to pink patterned paper then put clear embossing powder on it to make it shine as I do have a bit of a thing for black patent shoes, you only have to look in my wardrobe to tell.

Happy crafting everybody xx

Wedding Acceptance cards

Happy Easter to all, hope you have not eaten too many choccie eggs.
Recently I was asked to make a couple of Wedding acceptance cards. The first one was for a civil partnership I just copied how the  wedding invitation had been made then put a pocket on the inside to place the acceptance card in. The initials are P and R and this was done using a mirror card and a matt silver card using the Sizzix Serrif essentials alphabet.

On this I used the lovely Memory box heart cut in silver mirror card, with the date of the wedding and the couples initials.

Both very simple cards but effective. Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your Easter break.

London 2012

Hi everyone, I am really enjoying my copics at the moment, inspired by Alexandra Kamann's work which as you can see from the below designs are fantastic, If only I could think out the box like she does. (too clever by far) and as for her colouring skills well just take a look at her blog.

These little Penny Black stamps are far too cute, nearly as cute as Lilli of the valley. Hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather, and the lighter evenings means more crafting time/hours. I'm not keen on working under artificial light even with a daylight lamp. Take care all thanks for looking and see you all soon.

Shock Horror!!!!

I am not apologising any more, I will just wear the hat for extremely bad blogger!

The photo of this has not shown the little flowers very well, they were made with folded hearts all stuck on to a circle, and idea inspired by none other than Jane Gill - credit where credit due. I will make some more and try to capture them better to show more detail. Bye for now xx

I must try harder

Happy New Year to you all!
I am such a bad blogger, I really must make more effort this year, I have all good intentions it just seems to go all pear shaped. I do hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New year. Anyway here is a card I made last year for a work college you loves giraffes. I used quikutz Roxy alphabet for the letters and the paper pack was called Bazoo from the Glitter Pot which has some really lovely small patterns on which I find very hard to find.

An update for all you cat lovers out there Lilly is doing really well and had the wire removed from her jaw last Friday and it seems very stable, however she went out Sunday and came in with a large patch of fur missing completely from her back. I do wish they could talk some times so we knew what she had done, she has now had a anti inflammatory injection  and some steroid cream I have to TRY and apply twice a day - the vet was also baffled! but still cost another £63.00 Ouch my poor pocket.

About time

Hello all the card makers out there, I bet you are all busy rushing round like headless chickens to get all your Christmas cards made.......  so I thought I would give you a birthday card  to break the trend. I like nice quick simple ones at this time of the year although I have just finished a major project for a special 50th card for a very special person, I will show soon I promise.

This was made with the Cuttlebug cut and emboss butterfly, Lilli of the valley sentiments and the border is one of the gorgeous Woodware crafty edger punches. I think we all need to keep warm and dry this weekend. My poor little cat Lilly has has a nasty fall or run in with a car we are not sure which and has fractured her jaw so I will not get many cards made when she comes home as I will be having to provide plenty cuddles. Happy crafting all xx

Holly and a rose

Hi All and hope you are all having a lovely day and that extra hour is great, but all I have done is been to the Garden centre and bought some more Yankee candles ( as if I dont have enough in the draw)
Anyway on to the beautiful cards we made with Jane using her latest Woodware stamps, and a few punches.

I just love this background with all the Christmas carols on.

And last but not least the Christmas rose.
Happy crafting xx
