Afew non xmas - Hurrah

Last weeks projects a card done a while back at a class with Kay Carley with some alterations. The flower picture was from a Kay Carley set and twinkling H2O's matt and layered paper with the Lilac stamped with versamak and clear embossing powder an a ribbon round the edge.

A quick Sarah K in another colourway, paper pieced with a denim paper. She is still one of my all time favorites.

My first ever blog challenge

From the lovely Kim, Simply Faries I used a Penny black stamp stamped on a Sizzix tag, coloured with twinkling H2O's, I do love them and they have not out for a while. The background paper was from Doodlebug cut with the Nestabilities and also for the message with a peel off.

isnt she clever...

This stunning card was made by my bestest friend Sandra when she came over on Saturday to have lunch and craft. We get our priorities right!

A nice reasonably quick card just to slot in between the Christmas ones, people should not be allowed Birthdays in December (its soooo unfair) Ops beginning to sound like Kevin.....

The design is a card made a while back with Kim Fee im not sure what its called but its very clever and one of my favorites. It has lots of layers folds and cuts. I have tried to photograph it so you can see how it all fits together.

Long overdue post!

Don't know where the time has gone this week, I meant to post these piccies from last weekend but never got round to it. Oh well there here now.

I love this little Penny black mouse. I bought him last Xmas but never got round to stamping him, so I was delighted to open my Xmas box of stamps to see him sitting there still waiting to be stamped and it was a joy to colour. I just used watercolours pencils on a red mount cut with the Nestabilities and put on some Doodlebug paper also from last year.

A class with Ann Hide on chalking with my favorite Xmas release Sarah Kay stamp. What a lovely relaxed class thoroughly enjoyed by all. Cuttlebug snowflake background, stamped image coloured with chalks and decoupaged.

Rachelle Anne Miller stamp which is not one of my favorites but looks quite sweet, mounted on to Nestabilities shapes and decoupaged. A very tricky one to cut out (especially if you want to keep his stick arms attached) And of course finished with lots of stickles. Thanks Ann for a lovely class.

My new personal impressions stamp, stamped embossed and matted from an idea seen at the Glitter pot think the card was by Kay Webb

Ahhhh How Cute!

I've had this stamp for a while but not got round to using it. Its so very cute and I do love pussy cats!
I stamped and water coloured it then matted on to a green layer using Nestabilities Scallop attached it on a square of swiss dots (cuttlebug embossing folder). Then finished with a rub on and how could I not add a few stickles.

Friday fun with Art Impressions

A Jane Gill class at the pot. I do like playing around with these stamps as you can make so many different looks/colours etc just fun......

Through the window, the window was cut out with a Sizzix die cutting shape, the curtain pattern was drawn free hand by the talented Jane Gill and the rest was just decorated and coloured by me. I cant wait to do this with a Christmas scene inside.

Happy Birthday Mrs Wonka

A card for a special persons birthday. Another old favorite Penny Black, cat in bee costume just coloured with twinkling H20's which have not been out to play for a while and I do like them, mounted on a piece of Kay n Co grid paper then on a background of S.E.I paper with of course some compulsory stickles (have you tried the orange peel one it's delicious) Oh but do not eat it.... shouldn't think it tastes that good. And a chalked craftwork cards message.

I bumped into this geourgeous card when I popped into the Glitter pot last October and I simply fell in love with it and it has taken me this long to get round to making it. But it was well worth it.

Jane Gill new Woodware Stamps

Brrrrrrrrrr! well not quiet and we would like some (MORE) sun.

A fun day had by allot of familiar faces at the Glitter Pot, especially Lesley and Jan, Oh and not forgetting Beryl it is always nice to see you.
Well what can I say the wonderfully talented Jane Gill has designed her own collection of stamps this year and all I can say is about time too. There are four sets in the Woodware range and I love them all. The below is just one set with Stockings, Hats and mittens and the others include funky trees and snowmen.

Both designs were stamped on to Bazill card cut out , the stockings were mounted flat with one raised on 3D foam, and the hats were slightly embossed from the back to give a bit of shape before piling high on a blob of silicone glue.

Monday 25 August 2008

Sunday playtime!

One of my Fav stamps, a Penny Black and a nice stamp to decoupage. Many Mothers have this card in similar colours as I made loads for mothers day!

Oh no I hear you say not Christmas. How many crafter's do I hear say ( NEXT YEAR I AM GOING TO DO MY CHRISTMAS CARDS EARLIER AND DO WE?) Well this year I have made a start, my first card with the help of my friend Junie Moon. This was my first attempt at Tripple thick embossing and I was surprised how easy it was, and very pleased with the finished result.

Monday 18 August 2008

Shhhhh its a secret

A secret message card silly!!! idea copied from Junie moons cards she made Saturday.

Sunday 17 August 2008

Saturday with Sandie and then June how spoilt am I

What a fab day crafting and I spent no money...........

Sandie came over and made some gorgeous cards and If your lucky you may be able to see them on her facebook. I just finished of a few bits in my unfinished bits box which is growing by the day! I then packed my craft bag( and forgot most of it) and off to Junie moons who is soooo kind and gave me the bits I forgot, and a lovely dinner too.

Here is a similar card to the one I made for Sandie on her engagement to Steve last month. A Kay Carley template combined with the scroll cuttlebug embossing folder.

My first ever Magnolia card, I did not like these when they first came out but they are growing on me....... I have also been working on a Magnolias with shrink plastic but its not quite finished yet..
