About time

Hello all the card makers out there, I bet you are all busy rushing round like headless chickens to get all your Christmas cards made.......  so I thought I would give you a birthday card  to break the trend. I like nice quick simple ones at this time of the year although I have just finished a major project for a special 50th card for a very special person, I will show soon I promise.

This was made with the Cuttlebug cut and emboss butterfly, Lilli of the valley sentiments and the border is one of the gorgeous Woodware crafty edger punches. I think we all need to keep warm and dry this weekend. My poor little cat Lilly has has a nasty fall or run in with a car we are not sure which and has fractured her jaw so I will not get many cards made when she comes home as I will be having to provide plenty cuddles. Happy crafting all xx

Holly and a rose

Hi All and hope you are all having a lovely day and that extra hour is great, but all I have done is been to the Garden centre and bought some more Yankee candles ( as if I dont have enough in the draw)
Anyway on to the beautiful cards we made with Jane using her latest Woodware stamps, and a few punches.

I just love this background with all the Christmas carols on.

And last but not least the Christmas rose.
Happy crafting xx

Sparkly Christmas

Hello all. I am thinking winter is on its way, it's lovely and sunny but a very cold nip in the air. At least it seems a bit more believable for making Christmas cards. The below were made the other week in 28 degrees! not quite right and makes the glitter stick to your skin more! We did all look lovely and sparkly by the end of the day.

I think there is a bit of everything here, embossing, stamping, die cuts and of course GLITTER.

This was a class with Alexandra Kamann it was great fun and some lovely ideas. Off to make some more now, happy crafting and keep warm xx

Impatience

Morning all on this lovely bright sunny October morning and my is it hot, very bizarre.
This was from a class held last month, no need to say it was Jane Gill I don't think. Who else makes such beautiful flowers.

I think the candy stripe paper really sets these flowers off, and my dodgy swirls done by hand with perfect pearls, then put my big hand in in before it dried!
Happy Sunday to you all, I have been making Christmas cards the last two days, seems weird in this lovely sunny weather we are having, feels like we are in Australia, with the sun at Christmas. Be back soon xx

Hello blogland, sorry a long overdue post!
Another stunning design from Jane Gill is there no end to her talent.... I love making these flowers and as some go these were pretty easy.

And one for Dad

Oh my what a thunder storm we had today, but not much cooler!
Here is the card I made for my Dad for Fathers day, featuring little Warren rabbit, from my craftwork card set of stamps. Hope you all watched Julie on QVC last month she was fab, must admit I dont usually watch it but had to tune in to see her with Craftwork Cards, and she will be back on the 12th July I have been told.

I've never made a step card before as never really liked them, but I think it suited this little chap. Papers were from Craft Creations, image coloured with copics and coloured stickles. Just a quick update on Mum who is making a slow but sure recovery and wants to thank you all for the well wishes she has received, and a big thank you from me too. Bye for now and can we please have the sunshine back xx

Hello crafters. Obviously had my craft head on this weekend as lots got made and even a challenge.
Magnolia paper piecing I love this technique. Papers were craft creations, a tad of glitter and a windmill. I think the Magnolia is princess Tilda!

Hope you are not all getting washed out with the rain. Be back soon with more xx

Another card for Mum

Hi all sorry I did not post last week, I have no excuse......
This week however not sure where it went but it did. My poor Mum had a fall on Wednesday and has broken her shoulder and is a bit poorly at the moment so she is in St Hellier hospital, so I thought I would make her a card to show off to the nurses etc.

I was a very lucky lady yesterday and to Ashford International Hotel on the Lili of the Valley colouring class with the lovely Jackie and Bev...  wow what a day we had it was fab! more on that later. I had just the stamp to do for my poor Mum, coloured with copics, Polycromo pencils, Doodlebug paper with Martha Stewart deep edge punch and butterfly. The message  is Hero Arts on a stamping up scallop circle punch. Happy crafting and I hope to be back soon. Take care all xx

My mums card

Hello all I hope you are all enjoying another long bank holiday weekend, I could get quite used to this and along with the lovely weather I had an added bonus of my Birthday yesterday. Thanks for all the lovely cards I  received I will show the hand made ones later in the week.
This is the card I made for my Mum for Mothers day but as usual I gave it away before taking a photo, I seem to be doing that a lot lately...... but at least I could get this one back to take a piccie for you.

I was really pleased with the finished card. The peach flower we made in a much bigger in a class with Jane Gill but I cut all the sizes down and came out with a smaller/tiddly version, using scalloped circles cut up and wound round tweezers to curl and then stuck to daisy petals. The cream flowers were from just two layers of a Woodware punch I am not sure what it was called sorry! the leaves are various Leone em punches and the words are sizzix Wingo Zingo. Oh and I nearly forgot the background edge Martha Stewart arches all round the page.
Here is a closer view of the flowers. Its a bit windy here today down in the south but the sun is still shining. Enjoy you day and happy crafting x

Mothers Day cards for Easter

Oh well bit behind....
Here are a few of the cards I made for Mothers day for the girls at work to give to their Mums.
Happy Easter All and look what candy I just found    A Bit of Easter Candy!
pop over to Stamping Caz blog to see her candy.

This is a Magnolia I know they dont come in red (or I dont think so) but that was the request! Various punches used, coloured paper and pens, with a tad of patients.

Another card made a while ago adapted for Mothers day, the original shape card was Craftwork Cards but I now cut my own as I dont think they do them any more. A few Daisy punches and some peel off letters.
I hope you are all having a lovely sunny Bank Holiday weekend. I have just been for an hours walk in our local park Beddington, its lovely walking in the shade under the trees along the river (wandle) watching all the baby coots, geese and ducks, and the bbq's are out it smelt gorgeous and they nearly got mugged for there food....
enjoy the sun and Happy Crafting xx

Wedding Task

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger! I have no excuse but laziness, been making but not had time to show!
Anyway now I'm back and here is a little project I have just completed for a friends sons wedding which was yesterday and what a lovely day it was down here in the south, hope it was the same for the rest of the country. This was a little something for her daughter in law to be. I tried to tie in the colours of the bridesmaid dresses on the roses and ribbons.

Of course lots of hearts and a sloppy poem.

And now for the card (Iris folded) This seems to be one of the most popular in my collection, it must be because I hate doing it....... The overall effect is pretty tho!

A day out visiting a new craft shop to me yesterday Art of Craft in Farnborough, such a shame I was disappointed. Too spoilt I suppose with the lovely Glitter Pot. Hope all you crafters who went to Ally Pally had fun and did not spend too many pennies. Happy crafting xx

Happy Birthday June

Sorry not back with Warren rabbit yet! although he is on the way... I thought I would show you the card I made for my mate Junie Moon the other week. The flower and leaves are all made out of one EK sucsess punch with all the shapes on, with a bit of shaping you get a nice simple flower, not as fiddly as the usual floral punch craft. Of course I had to make it in purple her favorite colour. The paper was from Doodlebug and I used a Martha Stewart border punch down the side.

I can not believe we are half way through March and my how the weather has changed, it's so cold again but at least the sun is out. One blink and the weekend has gone again already, please can we have another day! wouldn't it be lovely. Oh well back to work tomorrow to earn some more pennies to pay for some more lovely craft goodies. Have a lovely week x

Sweet Strawberry

I wanted to make a card with a strawberry theme, so I had doodlebug strawberry paper Magnolia strawberry stamp with little Tilda perched on top, I just had to add a butterfly and some stickles. Coloured with Copics.

What a fab day I had yesterday, I made a last minute hasty decision and went to the Make it show at Farnborough. Thanks for a lovely day Fiz. Well the roads were clear and made it in record time, apart from the rain! Parked straight away right outside with no queuing and had a brill time and spent far too much. Just wait till you see little Warren Craftwork cards new bunny release, I just fell in love with him and what the wonderful Julie Hickey had done with him, such a clever lady. Also as usual the lovely Jackie was bringing to life the little Lili of the valley characters. Oh and had to bet a buggy ride back to the car with all the shopping....... As it is nice and bright today I must fly and make the most of it and do some colouring. Take care and happy crafting.

Pretty Fairy

I just finished this card for one of my work colleagues and decided to enter it for the Lili of the valley  challenge week 84 - my favorite colours I am very fond of these fairy die cuts, even tho I do feel its cheating a tad!
I used a Cuttlebug alphabet for the lettering and a ex success daisy punch with some craftcreation sparkly dots in the centre of the flowers.

I had a fantastic day at Chickenshack yesterday and it brightened my day to see all my lovely crafting buddies. It just went too quick and as usual did not get much achieved. But came home with some lovely inspirational ideas which I will be posting soon, I hope. Hope you all have a fab week and happy crafting xx

I am still here sorry!

Oh dear I can not believe we are in Feb already, where is this year going and the weeks are just flying by. I have been making quite a few birthday cards but just not got round to adding then to my blog but I promise I will. Oh great the cat has just come in an climbed over me in my white top with muddy paw prints, more washing. Why oh why cant they learn to wipe their paws when they come in.... Oh and while im on the cat Daisy in particular this time do you have to bring a mouse in and loose it, yes I now live with two cats and a mouse. I just hope they find it soon. Any way on to my cards, I do love this little lilli of the valley chap for a mans card, I have also coloured one it in sepia tones which I will show later.

Oh and a special Birthday as one of the girls in the office has reached her half a century and deserved a special card so out came the roses again. I love making these and they are so effective.

I wish the rain would go away and we could have some of the lovely sunshine back we had earlier in the week!  it does make us all feel so much better. Happy blogging xx

Happy New Year!

Hi to all in Blogland and any other viewers, phew I just made it. I wanted to make a special card to wish all people who view my blog a very happy 2011. I have been working hard today to get this finished for you, but due to the light or should I say no light I have been struggling. Please hurry up summer and the light evenings, it makes colouring and card making so much easier.

This is one of my new Whiff of Joy stamps and I thought was very appropriate as she is toasting you all a very happy 2011. Thank you for the lovely comments and support through the year. I will try harder to be a better blogger in 2011. Love to you all.
