A few Chrissie cards before it's too late

Hi all hope you are all braving this cold weather and horrible white stuff! Anyway thought I had better post a few chrissie cards on my blog. The stamp used on the first two cards was from  the Jane Gill Woodware set.

This is such fun to make these cards adding all sorts of bling and buttons, the paper strip used was craftwork cards, thanks for the idea Clarissa.
Another one using the same stamp, made for a colleague at work.
And the last I think is my favorite although the picture does not do it any justice at all. Penny Black stamp, sorry can not remember who the papers are from. Another idea stolen from the extremely clever Debby please do pop over and look at her blog it is stunning.
Wrap up warm and keep away from all those horrid germs out there. Bye for now xx

Christmas Wreath

A day full of fun and laughter at the Glitter Pot with Jane Gill and a bunch of lovely ladies and friends..... Oh and not forgetting the food, Yum Yum!

This is me being silly just for a change........................ Seriously! this is the lovely wreath we made, they were all different and what a fun time we had making them, with so many bits of card, paper and all sorts of other bits n bobs.

I do hope you like my Christmassy top with the sparkly Santa.

This is a picture of the lovely ladies as mentioned above.

Here is a better picture without the silly face! I can feel I will be making a lot more of these for this year if I have time or if not for next year.
At least the weather has turned a bit warmer but perhaps I should keep my gob shut as we have been forcast more snow for later this week. Oh nooooo not again, I do hate the thought of driving in it or should I say slip sliding . Take care and see you soon, happy crafting. Oh and I hope you are all nearly finished with your Christmas cards as it is not long before the last post now.

Anything but Christmas at the moment.....

I don't know! why do people want Birthday cards when they know you are up to your eyes in Christmas cards. Between battling the snow and ice I collected the car from work yesterday and it has been there since Tuesday and I have been using good ol British Rail and they have done me proud. There was only one day there were no trains. Lots of thick ice now, but braving the roads as it is just too cold to stand on the platform and wait for a train. I think we are all fed up with the snow except my Mum and Dad who are in sunny Florida at present (ok for some) are they in for a shock when they get back.
A few cards I have made these previously but in different colours and slightly different styles.
Reliable Woodware punches for a quick card with the odd Quickutz pair of shoes and the paper is Kaisercraft.

Quickutz Roxy alphabet, Karen Neuburger papers with  Woodware flower punches and a few gems.
Thanks for looking, take care, keep warm and keep crafting x

Lily Day

Hello everybody sorry I have been missing again along with my MOJO!  Just what I needed yesterday to bring it back a beautiful class with Jane Gill.................... dont need to say much more.
Lilly of the valley

Beautiful Stunning Lillies even if I do say so myself. I really love making these pretty flowers. It brigtened up the day as the sound of the torential rain while we were making these flowers I thought we would all have to swim home OMG did it rain. Hope all the lovely ladies on the class got home safely.

Think I may have to make some more whilst watching Children in Need tonight. Hope you are all well and keeping warm, have a fab weekend xx

Penny black challenge - Let it Snow

As I love Penny Black I wanted to join in the challenge this week, so all my Christmas cards were put to one side to have a bit of fun with the challenge. Sorry about the rubbish photo but the light is so bad I could not work out where to take it and did not bother to clear the table first. I think Daisy one of my cats took the card to heart and bought me in another real mouse! (Alive I may add) Grrrrrrrrr I know its a sign of love but I do wish she wouldn't.
The card was cut from my new Little Claire's die cuts, the white circle was daubed with blue ink ( a bit heavy handed) then put through the swiss dot's embossing folder, the star is Sizzix and of course the lovely stamps are Penny Black. Ohhh it's very chilly this week so wrap up warm xx

Poinsettia for Christmas

Here is a card and tag we made with Jane Gill last week using the Woodware punch with all the shapes on the one punch. Stamped from Bazill and not sure of the make of paper. The stickles really make this come to life I think.

And a lovely tag to match.
Hope you are all underway with your Chistmas cards. I have now caught up and back on track as planned. Still not decided what to do for my card of the year though! something simple needed as I need to make quite a few. Take care and Happy Crafting and for those of you going to the NEC I am very jealous........

Lovely Lilacs

Sorry I have been missing, been having a new boiler and bathroom fitted. I can not believe the plumber put all his STUFF in MY craft room, so I had trouble getting to stash.

A well deserved day out for a Floral punch craft class with Jane Gill. What a beautiful day making these lovely Lilacs, I must admit it kept us quiet...... Especially when we all had some of Carol's home made Lemon cake. Yum Yum!

Here is a picture a bit closer, I forget how many flowers needed  to cup character but it was lots.....

Have spent this weekend making Christmas cards and at the moment I am thoroughly enjoying it! Lots of Glitter and bling. Nearly back on track as I wanted too get a load done before the 1st November, I can not believe where this year has gone. Oh well better go and tidy up as the Tiler is in tomorrow. See you soon xx

Pretty Pretty

Hello bloggers! it was lovely to meet some of you at Ally Pally last week. It was nice to get back home and it always inspires my mojo to get going with ideas. I could not wait to get my pencils out and do some colouring. I thought I would have a go with my inktense pencils again as they are one of my favourites at the moment but just getting to grips with which ones are my most used colours, finding it hard to find a good flesh colour so may use the odd faber castell skin tone.

Back to Sarah K again, I did see the new releases but afraid I prefer the old designs, they may grow on me!
My minds eye paper with a bit of distressing.Have a good week xx

Paper piecing

Hi Blogers, I think the cold weather is beginning to set in, it is getting chilly in the evenings now, not long before I give in and put the heating on me thinks! My hands are too cold to craft.

This was another Jane Gill class at the Glitter pot. This paper has printed circles on it and we just punched them out to make a flower and stuck a button in the middle and placed a few leaves round the edge.
This time we used MME papers cut out the flowers and leaves and just placed them on randomly to create a beautifully simple card. And of course I do love this paper.
A little birdie told me it was your Birthday! Suits this card down to a T!
The Birdie was hand drawn then placed on to various shape nestabillities and the sentiment is from one of Jane Gill's word sets from Woodware. Finished with a few free hand squiggles.
I can not show them yet but in reply to my friend Jo's blog message, I have already started some Christmas cards with a few more idea's to put down on paper if I get a chance later this week. I am in two mind if  I should  go to Ally Pally at the weekend, it's just it takes such a long time to get home from there, the getting there is ok! Hope if you crafters do go you have a lovely time and dont spend too much!   Oh I am so funny!

Rosettes Galore

How good am I keeping up with my blog! it wont or can't last this is just too good... I have made a few cards lately but can not post them on here until I have posted them to my friends or they will sneak peak their birthday cards before the postman delivers them, and we can not be having that. Happy Birthday to Mrs Wonka  (the lovely Zoe) for Monday.
Again a few cards made a while back which never made it on to my blog. This was done with the resist technique using a Hero art flower cling stamp and white Stazon, we then sponged randomly with distress inks in various colours. The yellow Bazil was then stamped with Spiced Marmalade (I think) . The bottom panel was put through an embossing folder, finished with a little rosette and some stickles.

I really like this card as it is so different. The flower/rosette was made using various sized scallop circles either from punches or Nestabilities, cut into sections and curled with tweezers. I think the swirls were a Sizzix Die. Both of the above cards were designed by the very clever Jane Gill.

Have a great weekend and Happy Crafting xx

Horley with Julie

This was a workshop we done a while ago now, not sure how these lovely cards escaped my blog for so long. I had a lovely day today at the Glitter Pot's Christmas demo weekend, what a fab day with such talented people. Ohh and my poor purse suffered again............................... Have you all seen the new Christmas Tapestry stamps , I do love them.
All the following cards were made with Craftwork cards Blossom papers spots and stripes.

Lots of card candy was also flying about. For this card one of their lovely multi shape templates was used to cut out the hearts to make the flower, another of Julies clever ideas.
And my favourite I saved for last, a gorgeous template of a Scottie dog, cut from card and covered with paper's , flowers a message and of course some more card candy and a bow or two. How cute is he!
Have a lovely week and happy crafting x

The perfect package

I don't know about you but where oh where did the summer go! I am sick and tired of dodging all the wet stuff falling from the sky and skipping the puddles, and the evenings are getting chilly too.

A nice little card quick card made with the lovely Bo Bunny paper, the stamps are Hero Arts topped with a hand made flower and the Martha Stewart punch as a border. The flowers were coloured with my lovely new Inktense pencils.
Next  a  box to go with the card, again with a hand made flower, using three flowers folded in half then stuck together.

And finally a tag to match to finish off the perfect package.

Rumour has it we are not going to have so much rain for the bank holiday weekend! Keep your fingers crossed. We will just have to wait and see. I do hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend.

Sophisticated

Ok I can hear you all say that word does not describe Sarah! Well correct it was the name of the class we went on  with Jane Gill at the Glitter pot the other week. The most beautiful cards I have made in a long time and they were all so quick to make.

The flower stamps were from the Hero Art cling stamps, one was a single flower and the other was part of a posy.

Stamped on to white card with black pigment ink then embossed with clear embossing powder.

The paper is from the new Papermania range and I also think is very good value for money. Some Papers seem to be getting very expensive lately, especially when you just buy it to stroke as most of us do! Oh I can not cut that up its just too nice.
And I have saved my favourite until last. I hope you like these as much as I do. Have a lovely week and hope the weather is kind to you all. I have noticed our lovely daylight crafting evenings are drawing in rapidly..

Lilli of the Valley v Hobby Art

Happy Sunday to you all! Another week has flown by and again and been very busy, hopefully a quiet week coming up.
I had to make a man card which I think we all agree we hate to do. This little  Lilli of the valley image I think suited perfectly. Coloured with copic's using a old sketch not sure which challenge it was from but it was an old one. Papers were Craftwork cards.

Perfect for a belated birthday, which seems to fit me very well as I always intend to make the cards in time but they usually end up late, I think I will be repeating this card rather a lot.
We made this at a class with Helen Meighan and I just love it the cute elephant stamp is from Hobby Art. Papers are Daisy Bucket and the flowers were one of my many punches I think it was a Woodware one.

This image shows the card which inserts into the pocket. The pocket border was Martha Stewart.
Hope you all have a nice week and I hope to be back soon with some more cards. Thank you for your lovely comments.

Flower Spray

What a funny day, the weather is well wierd! Had three days of crafting since Thursday so lots to show, but keeping it all a secret as I cannot be seen to be over bloggiging or you will expect it all the time.

This was a card designed by Charry who tutored a class at Crafts u Love  4th Birthday last week, I dont think anyone managed to finish the card but I bought mine home and was determined it would get finished as it was so pretty.

Various punches were used some Leone-Em and some EK Success flowers.

Have a nice week , thank you for all your kind comments they do inspire me to keep going. I will be back soon with some more!

Daisy, Daisy - Oh and Buttercup

Sorry I know it's blurry but I could not resist the lovely picture of my Daisy, of course I am biased as she is one of my precious little girls! not sure where lilly is?

Anyway I have made a card today, I know I hear you a shout Woo hoo!  back into my flowers at the moment and this idea was from the lovely blog by Joanne do pop over and take a look as she makes the most beautiful cards.  I used various Woodware punches  for the daisies and the leaves and an x-cut for the buttercups. Another lovely sunny day and not much achieved by me. Oh well not to worry perhaps the housework fairies will appear over night... Yea right I can dream, but wouldn't that be nice. Bye for now and happy crafting.

Shadow stamping

Not sure what the weather is doing today! Its bright n breezy, which is nice. I know I have loads of cards to make so I had better get my act together. I have had such a busy week and been out every evening!
I love this technique of shadow stamping, I was really impressed with the finished card. We used a Hero Arts block stamp in white Stazon and then stamped over the top with a green Versa magic ink. Then added a few pearls for effect. The background was made by stamping green on the green card.

This is the other card we made using the same technique.

This is the fab new studio at the Glitterpot, not quite finished but nearly there! As you can see we were all hard at work and deep in thought except me snapping piccies when they were not paying attention.

And of course one on the lovely teacher Jane Gill

Bye for now and I will be back soon I promise. xx

Quilt Card

Oh what a fabulous day to spend off work, down at the Glitter Pot with the lovely Jane Gill, oh and some other lovely ladies. (thought I had better give you a mention, you know who you all are......)
This is Jane's quilt card, which I think is just lovely, this one was folded from a piece of 8 x 8 paper made into a book with four panels and then decorated with Tapestry stamps, yet another of my favourites.

Sorry about the picture quality ( I am by no means a David Bailey)
I will definitely be making some more of these, as I love this. We also made some toppers for cards with the Tapestry stamps and I will save those for another day. Take care all you blogger's and Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad's out there.

Hero Arts v Magenta

Sorry for not blogging for a while, it was noted yesterday and I promised to to a better job. I seem to spend more time blog hopping than updating me own blog. I will try to do better!
Anyway on to today's card, this idea was from the very talented Kath's blog do pop over and have a look she does the most wonderful things with Hero Art stamps amongst others. This was the card I made for my friend Helen for her birthday. Magenta stamp for the background stamped with distress ink, and the other stamps used were Hero Arts and I also used the new Stayzon gold ink pad but I am not sure about the colour!

Also back by popular demand the sleeping moggies, they lead such a busy life out all day finding feathers etc. to bring home for mum. Last weekend I had two birds eggs. I did tell them I preferred my eggs from Sainsbury's.
